I was hoping the horse would be underestimated because of connections and it seems that it might have happened.

Kennel Hill's last two runs suggest that he is well up to winning any ordinary novice contest and his form ties in with some of the best english novices. Had Reve de Sivola or Finian's Rainbow turned up here either would be long odds on. Kennel Hill finished upsides in the Challow and had The Minack, the second favourite, a distance behind the time before at Cheltenham. The Minack has the pleasure of giving Kennel Hill 6lbs.

Henderson always has to be respected at Kempton, and Alasi is tough, but they need to be up to Cheltenham winning standard to win if Kennel Hill is at his best.

So, I was surprised that 6/4 was available. Proven over further than 2m5f on heavy ground. The conditions look perfect. Keith Goldsworthy is one of the small trainers that's worth keeping on your side. I can only hope that the recent run means that they cold snap wont affect his string too badly. On form, I think he should be shorter than 6/4.

13/8 with Blue Sq & Coral. 17/10 with sportingbet (really must get myself an account with them). 2,68 on Betfair

Took the 13/8 with Boyles, Best Odds Guaranteed. I never use Blue Square unless things are desperate. Horrible shower.

All he has to do is win now.

looked like he had it in the bag but the horse decided he didnt want to go anymore...

duc de regniere overpriced around 9s in lanzarote if you fancy recouping, down in grade , ideal course and ddistance, decent claimer taking 5 off , competitive looking race but reckon he has too much class for them

Have had horses beaten with a lot of different hard luck stories that was a unique one. Hadn't looked a dog in the past while and looked a certainty turning in. One to avoid unfortunately now.

One of the worst cases of a horse dogging it that I've ever seen, they should try blinkers with a visor and cheekpieces with a tongue tie next time out.

I thought he got a poor ride the horse isn't straightforward and kicking for home around a mile out didn't help, I'm sure he will be rode with more patience next time out.
I wouldn't give up on him yet

I think he was sent to the front because of his proven stamina and they simply werent going quick enough through the first mile. He is the type to back place only in top races (could see him being placed in the Albert Bartlett with luck) but not at short odds. At least not until he has proved differently. Lesson learned.
