ive only one key and fob for my MG too!

Ryans garage in Blanchardstown are still MG dealers iirc, but it may be around 100e for a key!

i would ring a NI dealer and get a quote from them too just to compare.

the key should disable the alarm, mine does. and once you open with the keys it activates the central locking and thus you can just pop the button on the boot and it will open.

i dont mind if i lose the fob as the key can do everything it does (except for remote open/close), i would hate to lose the key as its more expensive to replce with the immobilisor and that.

    what year is it?
mine has the key slot on the boot but it can be pushed in when the central locking is opened.
