Let's face it...it's our favourite part of the game. But what I want to know is what club does the best lunch? We could start a lunches league! :D

Best ever was Mount Juliet (friendly game) it was one of the young fella's birthdays and the cakes were amazing!

Important to remember not to include Ham or Beef sandwiches as lots of teams will have Muslim or Hindu players. I remember playing against North Kildare and virtually everyone apart from myself (a veggie) brought Ham & Cheese sandwiches and most of their team were Pakistani lads so they just had the buns to eat.

Played two games in Midleton this year and I can only say it was by far the best Ive come accross.

I've seen that happen so many times! My personal favourite was four-star pizza out of the back of a car in Midleton a couple of years ago! :D

Trying to field for the fist few overs after lunch was a real struggle and then trying to chase a ball down before it goes over the dip in the outfield and its a few from you completely, I felt like someone had put two lead blocks on my feet. Great grub though :D

That dip is lethal...makes for some very funny incidents though. Saw a lad take a catch diving backwards over it once...he didn't emerge for several minutes! :D

That could well have been me. I took a one handed catch and disappeared into the dip , the lads only came down to get the ball, me lying there, ball in one hand, the other hand trying to check the rest of me to see if Im still in one piece:D took the catch though

Ah the fun of dodgy landings, dived to stop a ball last season and ended up giving myself a concussion. Still bowled the last two overs though :D

was umpiring a match in the phoenix park a couple of years ago. The lad whose turn it was to sort out the lunch owned an indian restaurant apparantly so we had a good feast laid out from there.

It was tough enough to stand for 50 overs after a shed load of tandoori chicken, i certainly felt sorry for the opening bowlers!

    Best Phoenix (by a mile!)

    Worst Merrion

Best in NI was Brigade. A huge poached salmon plus a buffet of salads and desserts. Unbelievable stuff. Bowling first there was an easy decision.

Phoenix is quite good. Unfortunately we bowled second Brigade...and lost!
