Ran this last year. Great race. Terrible Weather.
    Great refreshmnets/hospitality afterwards.
However 8km race was definitely short , less than 7.8km was the general consensus.
Will it be officially measured this year ?

I might try and tie this in with one of my rare returns down West!

Thanks for the good comments.I'll put my hand up re the distance(as thats my 1 job). It was 150m short. It has now been tracked by gps on numerous occasions since.

We started this as a fun run so we are learning how important these things are to athletes

Ran the 8k yesterday and although disappointed with my own time, the race was very enjoyable. Warm sunshine, not too breezy and really well organised. Couple of challenging hills as well - the one at 4k put paid to my hopes of a PB

Thanks to everyone involved, I'll be back next year.:)
