problems with o2

    I bought a new iphone on wednesday didn't have any problem till i tried to connect it to the networks internet, it wouldn't work. Then i noticed i couldn't text the girlfriend in the uk. so i got onto 02. it was late at night and they couldn't help me. So next day i rang them and they did a quick reset of my profile, it didn't work. I rang them again and they put me through to apple, apple decided the problem was o2s not theirs. Got back on to o2 and they advised me to go to my local store and do a sim change. That didn't work either. So got back in touch with o2 and they logged my problem with their techs and said the problem should be resolved by early next week. To me this is unexceptable. The problem occur when i went from pay as you go to bill pay, my profile wasn't updated or something! I since discovered i can't text anyone! So now i have a iphone which i can only use the wifi when i am at home and can only make calls which is eating up my free minutes. I'm not happy o2!

    Anyway would you guys be confidant in o2 solving the problem by early next week?

    afaik, i can only send text messages when i was near my 12th month with o2. but i was a new customer then. i texted "int" (i think) to a certain number to text internationally. but since you just upgraded your subscription, you should be able to do it without having to do what i did.

    try to visit the o2 forum maybe they can help you there ^_^

    The same thing happened to me, I went into an o2 shop and they did something with my o2 profile that needed to be done when changing from pay as you go to bill pay with the iPhone, it worked perfectly after whatever they did with my profile in the o2 shop. You should try and go back to a shop again and explain ur problem to someone expierienced with the iPhone in the shop.

    i went back to the shop for the sim change and they could do nothing.

    The problem still hasn't been sorted. It will be a week tomorrow since i got the iphone and thats a week not being able to use it fully. will ring them in the morning, but i don't know what to do if they still haven't sorted out my problem. Can i bring it back and depend a refund, but i did sign a 18month contact :(

    If its not fully functioning and working properly as described is the contract not null and void? Assuming that would be a messy approach to the problem :o
