I was in this cornershop after school, run by some old lady. I noticed a load of milk bottles by the door that I presume had just been delivered.

Now, does anyone still drink milk from glass bottles? It seems to be quite an old fashioned traditional thing. I don't think I've been to anyone's house where they do. Most people seem to buy those plastic containers, like us. But there were fuckloads of them in the shop today.

One of my uncles buys UHT milk aswell.

So do many people still buy milk in glass bottles/get it delivered by a milkman (if they still exist?)

And why the fuck do people drink UHT 'milk'?

Haven't seen a glass milk bottle since I was about 6, and even then it was a novelty.

I'd be surprised if the Fr. Ted UHT milk quote hasn't been posted by the time I click submit.

    /Colour me surprised

How do they recycle tetrapak? (I'm convinced it goes into a landfill in China).
Would milk bottles be the more environment friendly option? especially if from the local dairy?

Always good to have some in when you get visitors you can't stand the sight of. They're gone in a flash after a dose of that white piss.

Not if the local scum got there hands on them, they would end up threw your front window or over the back of someones head.

No! Milk is the most lovliest drink on the planet.

Especially with a bar of Dairy Milk or chocolate biscuit

Them chocolate bourbon biscuits are nice to dip in the milk. And a ice-cold pint with a fish and chips or battered sausages and chips! Fcuking lovely!

My mother (in UK) still gets milk delivered in glass bottles. Some full milk, some semi-skimmed. She likes to support the milkman, and it's handy for her.

Thats true Jumpguy but Tom it just reinforces the fact you should still be a politician. Disguising simple things in a complicated way for no reason;technically robbing other peoples ideas and tweaking them and claiming all the glory and then arguing the point that you did nothin wrong. You're perfect for FF.

Anyone still got their Dublin Millenium Milk Bottle ? I found mine just a few weeks ago buried under all sorts of festering shoite in the garden shed.

How tacky was that? As a child I remember everyone going crazy for them like it was going to be something handed down through hundreds of generations until the next Dublin millenium when their descendants will say the words "WOW! My Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Great Grandmother Jacintha was ripped off by the great supreme ruling overlord Premier Dairies this day 1000 years ago!"

A few years back I used to get a weekly crate of unpasteurized milk delivered to here in Dublin and it came in little half pint glass bottles.
