Facebook Electric Picnic Campaign for Laois Based Musicians

Hi there fellow Laois natives.
I'm not sure how many of you are aware of the campaign that has been set up on Facebook by Fintan Kennedy to petition Festival Republic, the organisers of Electric Picnic (since they aquired Aiken/POD) into doing as they do in other countries, and putting local acts on the bill at the festival.

They are the same company that organise festivals such as Leeds and Reading, and allow local acts to compete for slots at those, so why not do the same in Co. Laois?

The facebook campaign can be found at www.laoismusic.com so if you're a Facebook user why not join, the campaign is in its infancy right now so needs to gather as much support as possible to get the legs to break into the mainstream media.

Please join this great campaign and tell your friends! We here in Laois welcome the Organisers, Acts and 30,000 music fans into our county every September - isn't it only fair that Festival Republic gave something back to music in Laois?
