Just a quick question about car insurance.
I own my car, am insured on it. My boyfriend is also a named driver on it.
If i were to change the car into his name, do we have to take out a new policy where he is insuranced and i only a name driver?
Or can we leave it the way it is?

As far as I know, your insurance policy would lapse, as you would no longer be the registered owner of the car, and your boyfriend would then have to take out his own insurance , putting you as the named driver.

Why bother putting it in his name?

Best ask your insurance company this, some are more strict than others.
