Spar in Little Island are doing a "Recession Buster" at the minute.

A medium hot chicken roll, with lettuce, mayo, and tomato, and a 500ml bottle of Volvic for the princely sum of €2.

    Mnom, mnom!:D

Londis do this sometimes too as part of "Weekly Madness", the only problem that I find though is that the chicken never tastes right - more like fish! Anyone else ever notice this with cheap chicken rolls?

Centra in temple bar were doing them for a long time for €2, tasted fine but the chicken seemed a lot smaller then usually.

For €2 its still good, when most places charge €3.99 or €4.39

    Best ones going!
The €1.87 ones in Londis have a weird aftertaste from the mayo... :( AVOID!

Do ye ever wonder where the chicken in these rolls comes from and the quality of such?i wouldnt give it to a dog.

Well I guess you'd better not buy one then!

As for everyone else, the chicken is perfectly edible and not a bit fishy! It's the same chicken they use in their "normal" rolls that they charge €3.89 for.

I've eating them for years, and with the exception of hairy palms, I'm perfectly normal!;)
