Can i u any router to broadcast o2 mobile broadband?

    I was using an ethernet cable between my laptop with o2 mobile broadband and ps3 to play online and that was grand. But now the internet connection sharing in vista refuses to work.
    So i was wondering if its possible to use my old eircom netopia router to broadcast the o2 mobile broadband wirelessly for the ps3? I realise this is probably just wishful thinking...
    So i might try out one of the 3G routers(dovado etc), but can anybody tell me if internet connection sharing has to be enabled in my network and sharing centre for one of these to work?

    No, it won't work.

    If you see the sticky about 3G routers you can see many options, not just the Dovado one. There's also the Mifi (mobile wifi router) which can be bought on eBay for about 100 euro.

    Connection sharing on the computer will not have any baring on the router, it works independent of any of that.
