Just been onto our club wondering if there was an event that we could run or donate the proceeds from an open competition towards the appeal.

    Any ideas?

At Mount Temple, we are running a nearest the pin over the next 4 weeks and then a night out in EGANS BAR in Mount Temple, with raffles, music etc.

Our first hole is a par 3, when playing in a competition you hit 2 balls, first ball is competition ball, second ball is nearest the pin.

Management decided in their wisdom to have a collection at the Captain's Drive_In. (The wife did a 24hr fast and collected €280! just from family and friends)

We're organising a 4-ball scramble in South County this Saturday. €200 per team, which includes Tea/Coffee before the round and a hot meal afterwards.

Places limited to 25 teams, presuming 25 teams register that will be a guaranteed €3,500 going to charity. Plus whatever we raise on the day! Competition is open to all golfers...

We will have a representative from Haven charity there doing a raffle after the round of golf. We got some great sponsored prizes up for grabs! Our aim is raise over €4,000 for Haven.

    :D

South County and our chosen charity really got on board with the idea. If you select a format for your charity event, and negotiate with the club to see what they can offer in terms of discounted tee times. Then everything else falls into place. The charity really get on board too and send out representatives to give a helping hand which is great!
