Apologies if this has been asked already and Im not seeking medical advice. Just need the names of some good sports phsyios in Dublin. Better yet, physios that have a lot of experience dealing with runners and who wont just throw orthotics at you.
    Cheers

Sports Med on Kildare St. The best by far from my experience. Peter Matthews works there as well as a host of other elite athletes from other sports. Headed by Mark McCabe. Derval O' Rourke does all her S&C and rehab here and I'd say it has more Olympians per square meter than any place in Ireland. Very open to all levels as long as you pay the cash. You are more likely to be using a barbell than an orthotic or a medball than an ultrasound for your treatment. Prevention is better than cure.

Just to add, its not that expensive and you'll be charged the same as you might by some half arsed heroes out there.

+1 on Tingle's recommendation. Had a leg massage from Peter during the week (my 4 days of rest did nothing to ease the knee pain!) which had me back running the following day. What I particularly like is that all of my visits have been 'diagnose and resolve' in one session.

Ciaran Fitz in Dundrum/Ballinteer is first rate. Couldn't rate him highly enough. Looks after a number of top class Irish runners. PM me if you want his number.

Aidan Woods at the Pearse Street Physio is very good also, sorted out a bad case of shin splints I had following a broken leg earlier in the year. Works alot with the Irish Olympic teams and Irish rowers as well. Again like the above it's more a case of prevention is better than cure rather than pushing orthodics and quick fix solutions at you.

<Mod Edit- sorry DoubleDip if you are genuine, but two out of your three posts rec the same physio. Better all round if posters could PM recs, unless they are long-term posters here, cheers- donothoponpop>

+1 for Sports Med. I went for a knee injury. Can't recommend them highly enough. Garrett was the guy I saw. He is a great physio plus he is a runner himself so that's a bonus.

If you're on the south side I would recommend Total Physio. I'm there regurlarly (unfortunately) and they've always sorted me out and Jenny definitely knows what she's talking about. Check it out

My back was killing me cause I am a chef and work a lot. I went to SNIP and she helped me a lot in very short time, even thought I had a slipped disc and doctors couldn't fix it. I dont have to go for physio anymore so therefore I can recommend her 100%. Hope this will be helpful
