Is it a bad idea to have a Honda Accord 2.2 Diesel serviced at say a Toyota garage....as that is the one nearest to me? Or would it be better to go to a Honda dealer (genuine parts etc.). I have seen ads at Toyota advertising car servicing of all types and models at a good rate.

Well maybe just give both a ring, for price of the job.
But if Toyota is cheaper, go for it.

Ask the Toyota garage for a price using genuine parts, probably won't be any more, the price they quote is gernerally for an oil change and a check over. Charging extra for whatever else is needed. I wouldn't be worried about what brand the garage are.

Thanks for that. Will do. I, myself have been dealing with a Toyota garage for over 10 years and am known to them so it may help. Second car we have is a toyota.

I got the Toyota Garage in Athlone to fit the Diesel Fuel filter for me last year, just charged my 18e for the job.

Think the best way is to ring up and ask, if you have all the parts/oil will they fit them and how much will it cost? I dont see it been a problem
Also if its the diesel, make sure its the proper oil that you get for it 0w-30
