    Hi,

Presently I have an eircom package which I've read can achieve a maximum upload speed of 256kb. Other eircom packages that I looked at were the same. I require a higher bandwidth though to stream my Slingbox, the higher the better really. Do other broadband service providers offer such bandwidth? I'm based in rural Galway.

    Yes they do.
You will need to look at the individual offerings though it should not be hard to get 1mb up.

You can get up to 2mbits up with DSL in Rural Galway but only on recently enabled exchanges and at considerable cost ( €100 a month)

Can you get UPC? Their max package upload is 3Mbps.

What package are yo on? I'm guessing the 2M/256k, but i thought eircom discontinued that. If your line is capable, you may be able to get 7.6M/768k (or is it 7M/768k, I'm never sure) for a reasonable price, but that may not actually be available to you.
