suits in hot weather

    im going to rome in july for a wedding and can imagine suits being well warm. anyone know what suits are best to wear for mid 30s roman weather or any tips to keep the heat at bay
    any help appreciated

    Assuming it's material as opposed to style and cut.
    From what I can remember a light cotton or cotton-blend suit is best for that kind of heat.

    Linen. Beautiful material, perfect for the heat. Wear that with a natural fibre shirt, egyptian cotton or silk.

    You will be able to get lightweight suits online as not many outlets will be carrying the summer stock here yet. Some of the lightweight materials are wonderful..but linen is simply magnificent.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

    I was at a wedding in Italy last May and it was very very hot. A few of the men who attended wore the suits and waistcoats of their suits but not the jackets. It looked really good and they were cool enough too.

    I know it's well late for this thread but for anyone looking forward to the the sunshine (:rolleyes:) then M&S have a nice collection of Collezione linen suits at the moment.

    No necessarily. The great Italian suit is always made of wool and they know a bit about hot weather.
