Hi, i recently bought a 2.5 inch external hdd case for a spare ps3 120gb hard drive. I connected it too the ps3 and nothing happened apart from the case having a red light. I then connected it to my laptop and it installed drivers but still couldnt access it. Has anyone got any ideas ?

So the 120GB hard drive was from a previous PS3?
You need to format i'd say.
If you go into computer management can you see it?
ie Right click on "My Computer" and Left click on Manage.
    Then go to Disk Management.

Yeah and format it in FAT32 if you want it to be recognised by the ps3.....

Right click and select delete volume I think, you wanna delete whatever partition is on it neway and then format the disk as a whole.

You select FAT32 before the formatting, you can re-do it again after that format is finished.
