Anyone listening to Liveline? The issue of burnt wheelie bins is being discussed. It turns out the low lifes like to set the green bins on fire cos they are made of fresh plastic which releases a vapour that they sniff.

I'm imagine AH subscribers could think of material to spread on the rim of a bin to enhance the experience - bovril? honey?

never heard such a load of balls in my entire life,

dry paper + plastic + cardboard = easier to set alight

Why don't we legalise wheelie bins? or least start a program to help people cut down on the number of wheelie bins they smoke?

I'd suggest a substitution programme - metaldone bins.
