Romantic Parisian Hotel?

hi there, just wondering if anyone can reccommend a nice hotel in paris for me? i'm going there on honeymoon in may and am looking around thoroughly before making any bookings. (i'm also looking at the idea of renting an apartment).

i find a lot of the hotels i'm coming across are very modern and they all seem quite nice, but what i'd really love is somewhere with some old romantic parisian charm and not a hotel that looks like every other version of itself across the planet! but i'm having difficulty finding somewhere quite like that that doesn't cost an arm & a leg! (we don't have a lot of money, hopefully we'd like to spend €180 - €200 per night).

does anyone have any suggestions or places you've stayed there and really liked? i'd really appreciate it i've been searching a lot through worldhostel & tripadvisor but i think i need a little extra help!

for a milestone birthday a couple of years ago and was very happy with it. Okay, the room was small but had authentic wood beam ceilings, it's a historic building and has an excellent location in a quiet part of the Marais. Bit cheaper than your budget but maybe you could splash out on the suite!!

BTW don't know if you know the website but I find www.hotelscombined excellent for comparing all prices on hotels, have picked up some great deals through it, haven't used it yet for Paris though - due another trip back there soon!!

Stayed in Hotel Latour Maubourg with my girlfriend. Nice boutique hotel. The website do good deals.
