I could import the 8940G from Germany for about 1200 euros sans blue-ray, but would have to live with a German keyboard, but that's not a great issue as I touchtype and have used them before and would be wiping Windows entirely - I'm more concerned with repairs if it was to prove faulty.

I'm aware the HP DV8 is available in NI, but not too keen on HPs now. I was looking at Novatech but found they aren't compatible with Ubuntu, and Kobalt are too expensive.
