Frank Fahey takes the heat off Noel Dempsey

Frank has refused to call a meeting of the Oireachtas committee on transport to investigate the chaos of the last few weeks.

He has also refused to let Noel Dempsey account for his holiday in the sun when there were no roads open in half the country.

There shall be no Transport Committee meetings to discuss the underwater railway line between Atherny and Limerick or to discuss the inability of his government to keep our roads passable.

The real problem, according to the ever greasy Fahey ....is head shops.

“We led the way in Europe, and indeed the world, with our smoking ban and I believe we should also give leadership on this important issue,” said Dep Fahey.

If he could show "leadership" with a shovel and a bit of salt when he has 3 weeks holidays at christmas we would be much happier with him.

If he could provide oversight "leadership" like he is supposed to he would only be earning his €20k a year salary for doing so.

But with Frank Fahey you get neither and everybody in Galway West and in Ireland pays dearly for it
