Change bank account?

    Can I easily change the account that my dole is paid into? I have Ulster Bank and Halifax accounts. It's paid into the former but the latter offers better rates and is open on Saturdays. Just wondering what kind of reception I'd get and what lengths I'd have to go to....if there's a lot of hassle and it's going to annoy them I'll leave well enough alone.

    Have done this myself in the past and no probs at all. You just ring up social welfare where your claim is paid from and tell them you want your money paid into a different account/bank, and make sure you have the new details to hand.

    Bank Name
    Bank Sort Code.
    Account No.
