    I've just got my ticket for the France Ireland game today but i want to know does anyone have any innovative ways of travelling to Paris on the cheap? As expected Aer Lingus are ripping off every irish supporter that's travelling that week and I know I''l spend a load over there so I don't want to be ripped off even before I get there.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.smile.gifsmile.gif

    To be honest I was about to direct you to the rugby forum where there is normally a thread for fans travelling to France but I saw toomevara reply so you can stay here :)

    Generally you only have the choice between these direct(ish) ways :

    Ryanair => Beauvais
    Aerlingus => CDG
    Easyjet (Belfast) => CDG
    Ryanair => Brussels + TGV => Paris
    FLY => London + Eurostar => Paris

    Most other ways involve too many changes and involves more risk.

    I'd suggest taking a look at the provincial forums where you'll find more rugby fans and specific threads with the prices you're looking for.

    I flew Ryanair Belfast to East Midlands Airport
    Then BMI Baby from EMA to CDG.

    About £95 return but booked a few months ago.

    You can also fly to Brussels or Amsterdam and take a train - it's not that far (about an hour and a bit) and quite reasonable!

    Dublin to Stanstead or Birmingham then to Poitiers and TGV to Paris could work out quite cheap if the timings were right
