    I got the Standard kit, had it a few days but just used it tonight on my collection :eek: of Opinels. Talk about razor sharp, pretty fool proof to use, which is handy :D

    They're OK Homer, I wouldn't run a JCB over them now, but it they're not abused they'll be grand for a long long time. Says in the manual the bottom of the stone and the guide rod need to be leveled on a straight edge, to bend them with finger strength only to achieve this if needed, so you can guess yourself from that.

    I done my Opinels to 20 degrees, 25 would be better for what I use them for but, new toy, you know yourself :D

    S, I've no pics no, Google will have the kit photo though. I'm far from an expert but it gives my Opinels a damn good edge!

    use a peice of card board on a flat surface to put the final edge on nay knife if done correctly it will shave you smoother than any rasor:P

    The advantage the Opinels have is they are usually carbon steel not stainless, big difference in edge holding.
