Need a 5.1 audio output on my laptop

Just wondering if anyone can recommend an adapter for a laptop that has an optical that will add 5.1 surround. Don't mind wether it's a USB or pci adapter. Looking to utilise the bluray rom in laptop and have surrond sound!*Laptop is an HP DV8. Thanks, neil.

came across this on deal extreme - cheap but possibly a bit dodgy based on reviews. Have bought lots of stuf rom them before - usually just cables/adapters etc - found them generally alright but shipping takes about 2 weeks.
