    Hi all

I have a 02 Peaugot, and for the last while its just been cutting out, kind of like when you dont quite get the "bite" when starting up, but this happens at sporadic times, I could be doing 50kph when it happens...

Sometimes it cuts out altogether (when doing slower speeds) and others its starts again...very strange!

Anyone any ideas? Ill obv have to go to a garage, but would like to get myself prepared re. the potential cost :D

    Thanks a mil

    Jesus should have specified :o

it's an 02, 1.1l 206 - recently had a new timing belt and something else (name escapes me :o) you know the thing that gets wrecked when the timing belt goes, a metal box thing with circle disks)

That description was less than useful I know, but I'll remember the name soon :D

There was a thread on this quite recently - it appears that it's a fairly well-known problem with the 206. I'd do a search here and with google.

If this has only started since you got your timing belt replaced i'd suspect
maybe camshaft sensor that may have been damaged durning the work or it along with other sensors may have poor connections.....
A diagnostic check may lead you in the right direction....:)
