Currently have a sky subscription and using a sky+ box plugged into the sky installed satellite

If I cancel my current sky subscription will my box still be able to receive and show the free to air channels like bbc3/bbc news, utv etc?

it may have been answered 1000 times but when i searched i came up with lots and lots of stuff about DTT, STB for DTT and MPEG4, satellites, freeview boxes, boxes

couldn't see the simple question of will my old sky box get channels without any subscription.

but thank you for the answer, that's all i was looking for. Maybe other people searching for the answer will now also find this thread and the simple answer they were looking for

You'll receive the channels but afaik you will lose the recording function of the box.
