    Hey,

Just curious as to how much people out there reckon it would cost to replace the timing chain on a 01 Corsa?

    Cheers

I just received a quote from an opel dealership in Kerry (there aren't so many) for the replacement of the timing chain in an 01 corsa 1.0. It would cost me pretty exactly 1000€ with a basic service included or around 850€ without. To change the chain while a service is due would be a good idea, because the oil as well as the coolant would have to be changed anyway. I have been driving the car for almost a year now with a seriously rattling chain and I don't know how much more it can take. It's very expensive, but otherwise the car is great and I am sure it could run for a few more years to come. Not sure...

  • would cost abt 600 with the parts
