disclaiming an inherited trust fund

Can a beneficiary of an inherited discretionary trust fund worth €50,000 disclaim it because they will lose half their old age non-contributory pension if they do claim it?

Or can the trustees of the trust fund prevent the beneficiary from disclaiming?

What happens to the trust fund then if the beneficiary does disclaim? Just forms part of the residue of the estate and distributed according to rules of intestacy?

If 1 niece is left the entire estate in a will but wishes to disclaim because she thinks it should be divided equally between herself and 3 siblings does she then exclude herself from the distribution of the residue also? i.e will each of the 4 nieces get 25% each or will her 3 siblings get 33% each. She wants 25% not 100% or 0%. They are the next of kin i.e unmarried aunt has died leaving no children, siblings or parents

Well this isn't a forum for seeking legal advice. Please read the charter.

I've left the thread open for the purpose of discussing disclaimers though.
