Hi, does anyone know where in Dublin I can pick up a standard attic cover (the one you see in most homes)?

    Thanks

Im guessing your talking about a trap door?

Most of the would be just mdf timber cut square and painted white. You could by a small sheet, a hand saw and do it yourself. Any builders providers will have sheets or b%q, woodies etc

If you ask nice, some providers might even cut it for you, just measure it up. Stick a bit of insulation on the back of it, even a block of polystrene will help.

If you plan on going up there and putting the cover back in place to prevent heat loss or whatever, make sure the cove has something for you to lift it back up. Good luck.

Well done. :D I have seen this before... It actually happened to a plumber trying to prevent a downdraft and the old dear could not hear him.

Cue the mobile phone left downstairs.

He had to wait till her husband came home....

Sheet of ply or MDF works grand.
