Hi to all, hope you guys are willing to help. I'm hoping to be on the road for the first time in the next couple weeks, and i am just looking for a bit of financial advise car-wise/insurance-wise. Bit of a late bloomer to the car world as i am 24, 25 at the end of February. I'm looking for a cheap runabout 1500 euro or so and obviously i will be under a family members insurance for the near future. Can any of you point me in the right direction car-wise, and maybe a ballpark figure of what i'll be paying for the insurance in a 1.3 or under ? Your help would be much appreciated, Thank you......PS, does the named driver have to get insured on the car i buy ?

It's hard to guess what your insurance will be, it'd be best to ring around to be honest, get out the phonebook and ring every broker/insurance company you can think of.
As for cars, maybe a fiesta 1.25 (not the 1.3), a yaris, micra etc.
