Guy on radio yesterday on about Garda recruitment

    a guy was on radio yesterday

    he was top of 2500 in garda aptitude test

    yet because someone in his family had a minor conviction he didnt go further

    fair?

    Doesnt sound right to me......
    When was there a campaign that only had 2500 people sitting aptitude tests? Think May 08 was small and still had at least twice that and secondly minor offences against family members wouldnt stop you, would have to be something more serious or else he's associating with someone he shouldnt. Either way if he was told why he wasnt accepted it means he appealed the decision and called into HQ to find out why (otherwise you are not given a reason) and i'd be pretty sure somewhere along the line of his story fiction has crossed over with the truth.........
