Have been told crew cab canopies are leaky - anyone with advice on same? Need jeep with good towing capability for large rib, but would like the rear seats as a commercial vehicle, so it looks like a pick up with canopy is the way to go. Has to be totally waterproof as will be carrying electrical equipment. Ideas anyone??

the sides of pickup tailgates generally aren't waterproof so regardless of the canopy you could let in water through that.

If it's a steel canopy (as opposed to fibreglass which a lot are) you have a better chance. Assuming it's fitted correctly of course.

I found the Sammitr ones good as long as they're fitted correctly. the Carryboys aren't as good.

Can a waterproofing job be done on the tailgate sides? Needs to be fully waterproof, or am looking at two seater commercial jeep, and would really like the crew cab option.

Or, are any five seater jeeps still classing as commercial? Any big enough?

Am getting a Nissan Patrol and to hell with it. The kids can ride in the boat.
