Golf Motion - Electric Trolleys

I’m thinking of getting a Golf Motion Trolley, and wondered if any of the folks on here have had any experience with them, or know anything about them? Are they reliable, durable and not give must agro?

I got a price of €274 in McGuirks, so seems decent value for what I’m only probably going to use during long medal rounds when there’s a lot of standing around. Don’t want to spend too much as I don’t think I’ll use it all that much, I’m normally happy carrying my clubs.

It comes with a 36 hole battery, one year guarantee and a **free holdall**, which the salesman told me three times about!

Know electric trolleys have been covered here numerous times but just wanted a little more info on this particular brand or maybe even another brand in the same price region.

    Cheers in advance.

have 1,although i havn't used it that much as i sometimes use my carry bag i wouldn't personally recommend it
I bought it off a friend who won it in a comp so i'd no comeback when the speed dial went bust,it just keeps spinning around, fixed it a couple of times but it keeps breaking,so personally i wouldn't get involved,if you're going electric maybe a hilbilly,

Yeah negative from me too I'm afraid. There's been two in my house... lots of little problems, fixing them, and fixing them again. Very unhappy customer.

Cheers for that lads, did they even give you a year service without bother??

I see their an Irish Company so I would have thought getting them repaired might be easier?

I'm afraid the news isn't about to get any better Jimjo, I know three lads who use them. Two of them have both had problems. One has already ditched his and the other has experienced a catalogue of errors with his.

I've tried them out myself the odd time, maybe taking it up to a tee box or something for them while they run to get something and have never been impressed.

I use a Powakaddy myself and the difference is night and day. Granted, it perhaps should be considering the price difference.

If something around that price bracket is what you're after and if it's not for hard use, Elvery's sell one. Can't think of the name off the top of my head, but i know two lads who've got it and have never heard any complaints. One had to change a battery after nearly 3 years use, but even that was only 50 quid.

The posters on another forum all rave about the GoKart.

    Jimjo,

Im a Powakaddy man myself and have expierenced problems with it as well. From looking at what the pro's use for rental carts and I would imagine they get more abuse than most they for the most seem to go with Golfglider.

I purchased one for the missus and have not had any problems.

Where are you based? The manuacturer of the golfglider is in Churchtown, Dublin 14.

Yeah theglen based in Dublin so going to the golf gilder office wouldn’t be difficult. Its just the price tag that puts me off, as I wouldn’t use it all that much to justify paying that much for it. I nearly sure when I was down at south county the pro there uses golf gilder trolleys which you can hire out, so they must be tough as I’m sure they’d receive a right battering. You don’t often see electric trolleys you can hire out.

Mister I think those in Elverys are those Mocad trolleys, had a quite look and I’m nearly sure they’d blow over on a still day they looked that light and flimsy but then again you get what you pay for. Will look further into gokart trolleys, think the postage is expensive but we’ll see.

Will look out for offers on the powercaddys, I’m sure ‘my mates!’ in golfstoreeurope might be doing something soon

    +1 on golf glider.
Note that they also sell refurbished ones so if you are not using it much that might be a good option?

How about a Hillbilly? Made by Powakaddy, but far cheaper. My old man has one and i've never heard him complain about it.

Reckon I'll go for that gokart trolley, they work out quite cheap and they've got good reviews in other golf forums.

Will let ya know how it works out with shipping and all.
