Another Attic Thread

    Morning,

I live in a 'regular' semi detatched 3 bedroom house. I have a growing family and with space at a premium want to look at converting the attic.

I already have a very large (largest) staire (as seen on the late late show ) and throw boxes etc up there.

I have some builders coming to quote and want to look at turning the attic into a floored basic room. By basic I mean accessible only by the staire and with no heating / electrics etc just a space we can store and maybe put a desk.

Anyone any recommendations on companies / idea on price?

    TIA

(Prev posted in DIY but got no response so posting here)

    A few initial questions,
What is the existing roof make up? Cut roof, prefab truss etc
    What is the head height?

There are many ways to do this and price will vary from simply laying down flooring for storage, to putting up walls and painting, to fully insulated roof space.
