Do you know what qualifies any one for the pump system? My daughter is 11 with type 1.

The first step would be to talk about it with the endocrinologist that your daughter visits. There are very few clinics who deal with the pump especially with children.

The most recent issue of "Diabetes Ireland" magazine had a semi-useful article on people who use the pump. You could contact the Diabetes Federation of Ireland 1850 909 909 or info@diabetes.ie for a copy of it and more information.

Judging by previous posts the pump seems to be extremely difficult to get because of lack of funding from the HSE.

Good luck & keep us posted on your progress, there are lots of other people (myself included) trying to get a pump too.
