Im a final year food science student, and the pressure is really getting to me.I done my christmas finals and think i got on ok, but could have done better. last may I failed s exam ( never failed a exam before) so college want me to pay 800 euro to sit this at this summer. I cant afford to pay this, and i have come so far, its a shame to leave. I cant tell my parents as we are just getting over my mums illness, she has been very sick, and we have been stressed about her, this money will only add to it. I know i sound sad, but the last year has been difficult for me, i feel down all the time, getting over a spilt up too, its one disaster after another. lately i have considered taking my life, it would be so much easier, cause i feel theres no way put. sorry for the long sad post. but any advice please, i dont know what else to do

Hey, thats a complete over-reaction. Sure, things can be difficult, but once upon a time I was in a very dark place, but decided "I'm not going to let the bad people win" - it took all of 5 seconds to decide, no, suicide is not a good idea.

Can I ask you to talk to someone? College will have a medical / counselling service in places and there is an evening time peer to peer phone service available.

In the greater scheme of things, €800 isn't a huge amount of money. Sure, it seems like a huge mountain, but things can be done when you work with others. I'm sure college has a fund set aside for such circumstances.

So, right now, I'd like you to talk to someone, whether a doctor or the Samaritans.
