Does anyone know how you claim for the experience you gained under an ICAI training contract when you switch to ACCA?

    Hello,

It's not as formalised as it is within ACA.

When you sign up as a student you will receive a booklet (or at least you used to) that you fill up and keep yourself. When you are ready to become a member this will form the basis of your application.

In fact at time of applying you fill up a single page, summarising your experience, and get it signed by an accountant and submit to ACCA. It is then subject to audit - so you should keep onto your student experience records for a year afterwards.

    Good luck!

You can get your ACCA experience pre, during or post the ACCA exams. Once your firm will sign off the ACCA records (negotiate this at the time you leave - but most firms will do it without a problem) you will have no problems switching.
