    Hey Folks,

My hard disk recently suffered some damage, the back of the casing is lose but im hopeful the hard disk itself is intact. I think it may just be the power supply port which seems to have suffered the most damage, as even the usb connection port is intact (upon unqualified inspection).

I was wondering if you guys could offer any advice on how i may be able to recover the use of it if it is indeed intact.

    Thanks,

    Damien.

IS this a sata ,or ide internal drive or is it an external hd, if its external open the case a put plastic tape over the pcb to stop static/short circuit damage and put it inside a caddy , sata or ide cost 25euro.
Google ide and sata interface image.
DO NOT touch the hd pcb, printed circuit board at any time.
IF you want help you need to post more info eg model no, seagate 500l.
ONLY external drives have a usb interface.
