Problem when syncing to 2 computers

    Hi,

Just got my iPhone yesterday, so I'm very new to all this.

I downloaded a couple of apps through my work computer yesterday and sync'ed them onto the phone no problem.

Then when I was at home, I wanted to put a few more apps on there. However, after I downloaded them to iTunes, only the newly downloaded ones were available to sync over. When I did this, it erased the apps I had sync'ed to the phone earlier from my work computer.

Is there any way to add apps from a new computer and not delete ones that are already on the phone?

Does this problem arise when syncing music and photos too?

I like what I've seen of iTunes and the app store so far, but it would be an awful pity if I couldn't use both my computers to load the phone up with cool stuff.

    Thanks

    Wayne

    hi,

it def didn't asl me if I wanted to transfer apps to my home computer. ah well.

I suppose I could just be disciplined and download the apps I want to both computer libraries.

well if you plug in your iphone to a pc, itll automaticAlly sync. just cancel it. when you see your iphone on the left side of itunes, right click then click transfer purchases. that should transfer your apps to the new pc. before you sync, click on the applications tab and tick the apps you want to sync. sad to say this doesnt work with music though
