Can I order from Apple US?

As a cheeky way to try get a discount, with the exchange rate, can I order an Apple product from Apple US and get it delivered to Ireland. Or do I in fact have to order from the Apple Ireland Store and pay full price.

I've not actually tried but I've heard (can't remember where from though) that when you go to pay that it redirects you the Irish Store.

Nope, you can't - the US store will only deliver to US addresses and you would also have to pay using a credit card with a US billing address. Short of physically going to an Apple retail store in the US, there is nothing else you can do - the online store is not an option.

If you want a discount have a look in the refurb store. 14+ percent off most of the current models.

Ah well I figured as much. I'm after a 64Gb iPod touch, the cheapest place I found was on ebay, at £252 sterling which goes to €281 to a small post and package fee. Saves about €70.
