Hey, anyone know if there is any Hickey style shops in Greystones or Bray, a shop that sells materials and fabrics? Cheers.

you'd be just as quick heading to Carrickmines than Bray - only if you have a car though...

There is a Hickey's shop in Dun Laoghaire on the main street. Excellent friendly staff.

I think there is a shop on the Quinnsboro road in Bray (near enough to KFC) that sells fabrics.

I'm certain it is there, it is the selling fabrics bit I am unsure of, but I'm quite confident that they do.

There's a fabric shop in Bray and another in Wicklow town. I only remember passing them so couldn't give you exact directions. I think both were just off the main street. A google of fabric and Bray would probably give you your answer. It also depends on what type of fabric you're looking for? Dress fabric, curtain fabric, upholstery? My memory says that they were both dress fabric shops. But as I said, I only passed them.

Found it: google fabric and bray and it's first in the list: http://www.fabric-gallery.com/

There is a shop in Bray that sells dress & curtain fabric, was near arcade, think it moved though. Hickeys in Dun L & Carrickmines only sell furnishings material for curtain etc, you have to go into Hickeys in dublin for dress fabrics. Unfortunately not many places sell dress fabrics any more.

The Village Gate Arcade shop where they used to be is now a pet shop called Creepy Crawlies or something like that .. snakes, spiders, lizards .. that kind of thing!

They're now definitely in the premises in Church Terrace. TBH you're better off parking in the Herbert Road car park and walking, as the road is very narrow and a bit of a pain to get into, not to mention the limited parking down there.
