Legal rights/responsibilities in front of your house?

    Trying to find out some information on the legal rights to the pathway outside my house.

    As far as I know, it is illegal for someone to park outside my house if it blocks my driveway (i.e. they are blocking a right-of-way), although I'm not sure what act it comes under, so if someone knows, I'd like to look it up in the Irish Statute book for reference.

    However, my real question is, what about the rest of the pathway outside my house? Our front garden is approx 30ft wide, 8-10ft of which is the drive way. The rest is pathway with a small grass section.
    Does anyone know what the legal rights of that grass section are? Or know what Act I need to look up to find out?

    Our road is a cul-de-sac and there are a fair number of cars on the road, occasionally, a visitor in a neighbour's house will park half on the grass strip outside our house, I don't like looking out my window at some stranger's car parked outside and I'd prefer the grass wasn't getting damaged the way it is.
    I'd like to put something there to prevent people parking on it, or alternatively, just ask my neighbour to instruct visitor's not to park there, however I'd like to know if I have any rights as regards that section first.

    Any help appreciated.

    Edit: Manged to find this;
    36. (1) Save as otherwise provided for in these Regulations and subject to article 5, a vehicle shall not be parked on a public road at a location, in a manner or for a purpose referred to in this article.

    (2) A vehicle shall not be parked—
    ...
    ( i ) on a footway, a grass margin or a median strip;

    Would still like to know if there is any legal responsibility for the grass margin outside my house though, am I responsible for cutting the grass and keeping it maintained etc...?
