I'm hearing that it may be region locked - is this the case and if so is there any point in buying one here?

Only the downloadable games are regionlocked, you can still play physical games from different regions on a dsi.

Is there also a suggestion (I was told this over dinner) that they will release DSi only games in the future that will be region locked and that the DSi store will be region specific and the console only link you to the one for the region it was bought in, i.e. I'd be directed to the US and need a US credit card to buy anything?

How much are you due to save? Do you already own a DS lite?
