Hi. First post so apologies for any mistakes. I am looking for a personalised cross stitch. Does anyone know if there is any where that do the cross stitching for you if you tell them what you want. I have searched online and all I'm getting is just designs that I can buy and cross stitch myself. If this is my only option - is this difficult to do? Thanks for any help/advice.

Can't help with finding someone to do a custom piece for you, it's not something I've heard of anyone doing (not that I would have particularly good sources anyway).

Most cross stitch isn't difficult at all. It's just a matter of following the chart and stitching on aida cloth which has well-defined squares. It gets a bit more complicated stitching on linen, where you have to count the threads, and in designs with a lot of quarter- half- or three quarter-cross stitches. Unless your design is particularly complex you shouldn't have any trouble doing it yourself if you haven't found anyone.

Thanks for your reply time42play. I have just ordered a kit online that I can personalise (attempt anyways) myself. Fingers crossed I don't give up half way through!
