    well lads,i was thinking of putting out a few feeders being heavy frost etc,is there much looking after one once shes full?cheers

    Nop fairly easy keeping, just keep an eye on it to make sure it is not empty or that the spring isnt blocked, and if it a plastic barrel and you are near trees I used to have trouble with grey squirrels eating in through the sides.

    Changed my spring feeders this year to pan feeders and found life a lot easier.

    we have had a few of those plastic barrells wrecked as well heres the 2010 model

    we done the same but half way through the season, dont think the birds figured out how to get the food out of the new pan feeders, lesson learned dont change things in the middle of the season,:mad:
