Startup disc almost full

    Hi all

    I did a 7 pass erase free space, during the process i got a notice to say startup disc almost full, make space.

    How do i make space?? Where is the start up disc?

    Go to System Preferences -> Startup Disk to see which one you have chosen to use as the startup disk.

    If you find you only have one disk and are using that then the chances are you are simply almost full on your current drive and might need to think about getting an external drive to keep all your stuff on.

    Checkout http://www.jgoodies.com/freeware/jdiskreport/ to see what are the top users of your disk space.
