    Hello there

We are getting married in Donabate in a few months, we want afterwards to be pretty informal and go to a traditional pub for some drinks.

Could anyone recommend a place in Swords or near Donabate that could maybe hire a small room out to us, or section a bit of their room off?

    Any help greatly appreciated
    All the best

    Chris

Wrights will hire you a room in swords. Nice venue. More then happy of the business.
Id suggest you take a drive down swords main street. Must be ten pubs at least. donabate just has the 3 I think. The waterside in donabate isnt too bad either, have you considered going to the bar there? they can section parts off. Food aint bad either if you wanted to keep it informal.

The Lord Mayors has 2 private function rooms, it is a traditional pub. A real local bar - I love it. It has that james joyce award for authentic traditional irish pubs

Yes, we are getting married in Waterside, but fancied a slight change of scenery after it! Going to head over to Swords next week (From Liverpool) and check some places out.
    thanks

What about the Harp? It's part of the Carnegie Court Hotel, on North Street (just off Main St, to the right of the castle) and it's cosy but large enough that you could section a spot off.
