Top Tips for your wedding/honeymoon

I figure a thread on things-to-do/not-to-do from those who've gone through the experience might be helpful for those planning to do same. Not all tips will suit all people but folk might be able to glean what suits them from others ideas.

    I'll get the ball rolling:

Leave 5-7 days between your wedding day and the day you leave for your honeymoon. You'll crash with exhaustion (physical and/or emotional) on the day or two after your wedding and won't really be in fit state to be hauling yourself to your honeymoon destination.

We booked into a country house hotel for the wedding night and the day after, came home and packed for honeymoon and left a few days later in more refreshed state: ready to enjoy the honeymoon itself.
