    hi guys,
we've had our Candy CDI 1012 diswasher for about 4 years and never had any bother. But last night i heard a bang when i had it running and the washing machine at the same time.. a switch had triped in the electrical board in the hallway. I switched it back nd the washing machine started off again but there was no power going to the dishwasher. I changed the fuse in the dishwashers plug and it got power into it again, but now it wont perform any of the cycles? i can selected any of the different modes no problem but the cycle wont start... also there is about two inches of water in the bottom of the dishwasher and i dont know how to empty it?
any ideas on what i could try? its imbedded so its difficult to get to the back of it.
    thanks a million

    Hi

The first function a dishwasher does on a cycle is to drain the water. If the cycle is not starting and there is water in still in the machine it sounds like your drain pump is faulty. This is what probably tripped your electrics. You are looking at around 150 euro to repair including labour

I had a similar problem where the dishwaher would not drain. I found that teh kids were putting the dishes in full of food and a plastic tag of bread wrapping was jamming the rotary fan, cleared it and started working again. Sometimes you need to reset the programming if the cycle was interupted, try running a short rinse cycle. By the way I had to empty the dishwasher using plastic cups and a turkey baster, did the job anyway..
