I have just burnt my dinner.

    WHERE WAS THE GOVERNMENT????????

Why have they not got a cooking guidebook and inspectors to do random checks. This is a disgrace.

I burnt my dinner a couple of months ago, big pot of stew it was- enough for 2 days...I lifted it off the hob in my panic and plonked it on the worktop thus burning a big hole in it:mad:. Claimed off house insurance but ended up spending the money over Christmas, now I've no money and a big hole in my worktop:(.

I think they may be busy deciding what to do with all the excess salt they ordered. Maybe you could put some on your dinner to cover the burnt taste???:D

As for the sad attempt a humour, unfortunately such a complaint is not so far off. Listened to Duffy lately.

Indeed. The OP is quite teh philosopher. I think in the original post, the dinner is a symbol of our banking system. All was well while the dinner was cooking but we were cooking for too long. Perhaps, the 'cooking' of the dinner symbolises the Celtic tiger during the boom years. Then we 'burnt the dinner' , a stark reminder of our financial crisis and failure of banking system regulation. Who was watching the dinner? Noone. Exactly.

... Or maybe the OP just burnt his dinner

My smoke alarm normally goes off as well, until I took the battery out to put in the remote. Problem solved.

    Are you American?

If the answer is in the negative please please please dont use the word FAIL in the context you just did.

    Its the gayest phrase ever

Dont panic, they're setting up a helpline.

should we talk like boggers so? :pac:

    fail is just a word.

and im not the type of person who really gives a fúck if someone on an internet forum thinks i use the gayest phrase ever. :D

Firstly, I agree. "Fail" in this context makes me very angry. Such a stupid stupid phrase.

Secondly, OP- why don't you blame the teachers? Along with the government, a lot of people around here seem to blame them for everything- even resorting to blaming them for a decision the government made over the last few days. Maybe they burnt your dinner???
